"Summer Leisure: Cards"
The eight exhibition from David E. Stone’s yearlong art exhibition project, one year in LA is entitled, “Summer Leisure: Cards”
August is the third in the Summer Leisure series. In June & July, work was exhibited related to reading and crossword puzzles/dot-to-dot puzzles respectively. In August, Stone has turned to playing cards as another carefree activity that many use to help while away the vacation hours. In "Summer Leisure: Cards" exhibition, Stone is showing a series of cut paper collages that explore the specificity, systems and information that are inherent in playing cards.
"Summer Leisure" Cards" will be on exhibit from August 7 - 20, 2004.
An opening reception will be held on Saturday, August 7 from 6pm - 10pm.
The closing reception will be held on Friday, August 20 from 6pm - 10pm.
